The Singing Detective

I run a private studio in South East London where I work with singers at all stages and ages of development; from complete beginner to established singer-songwriters and performers working on West End stages.

I am also a long-standing professional singer and composer working predominantly in musical theatre and cabaret, probably most well-known as one half of cabaret duo, ShooShooBaby. My song-cycle Cautionary Tales for Daughters received a national tour and a run at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London’s West End. This show has been a career highlight for me and I am very proud of the impact it has had on audiences and critics alike.

I am an out-and-proud voice geek; I have authored the award-winning self-help book ‘Too Embarrassed to Sing’ and I’m studying for a Masters degree in Vocal Pedagogy.

It is this knowledge that I bring to these courses, and I'll be with you in spirit every step of the way!
